New Ogre Sprue Review!

The Future

This is exciting. I hold in my hands the future of an entire Mantic line. I’d say it was a gift from Ronnie, but honestly he was just showing it to me and I walked off holding it on purpose. Building on the excellent Northern Alliance and Halfling plastics, this new sprue doesn’t fail to uphold standards.

Chonk

These new bodies are just the ticket. The legs are nicely proportioned to the frame. A sense of power is exuded by the stance as they lean forward to leer at their foes. The multitude of straps are going to be an arse to paint but they can be used to add some nice spot colour to a composition.

BOOM!

These new blunderbi are lovely, brutal things I can’t wait to paint. Lots of rust and soot for effect. Not only that but we have melee weapons ON THE SAME SPRUE!!!! A true multi-use kit.

Get ahead in Life

The neck/head interface on these models is spot on. Previous heads were rather flat and odd looking from the side. These are somewhat better in that regard whilst bringing even more of the Mantic Ogre character to their presence.

Conclusion

I love these models and will defo be getting more to expand my Vanguard Ogres to an army. I will also refrain from writing reviews at a tournament. Or maybe I won’t, Ronnie just came over to say I ran off with the male Ogre sprue so I should come trade it for the female one…

OMFG!?!??!!!!#;;’+(&?’!!*}\\\

They look like actual Ogre women, not sexy human women with an Ogre theme. One of them even has a beard which I love. These are the absolute best.
