Hi everyone! The US Masters is currently underway, but due to some technical issues it’s challenging to get a sense of what the competitive standings are at the end of the first day.
We have been able to put together a list of who (we think) are the currently undefeated players, going 3-0 on the first day:
- Dale Motley – Dwarfs – Mid-Atlantic
- Jeff O’Neal – Goblins – Southeast
- Jeff Schiltgen – Ogres – Midwest
- Keith Randall – Elves – Southeast
- Luke Fraser – Trident Realm – Pacific Northwest
- Marcelo Rouco – Order of the Green Lady – Mid-Atlantic
- Nathan Clevenger – Nightstalkers – Southeast
- Shawn Polka – Forces of Nature – West
As a reminder, all the lists are available here.
So currently it’s looking like the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast have the best chances of having this year’s Master, but it’s hard to tell from just the undefeated players how the overall regional standings look.
Preliminary feedback from folks at the event suggest that the terrain might be a big factor in the results. The tables have been described as being on the open side, which is favoring shooting heavy armies.
