Kings of Hobby – Billy (February)

Billy’s back with another Kings of Hobby update! If my February goals were a horde of zombies, I have triple charged them in the rear with three regiments of Brock Riders. I crushed them!

I originally set out to finish a second regiment of infantry (Succubi), but due to list changes for Blues City Brawl, I decided to paint both hordes of Molochs for February. Full model count even! That puts me at a whopping 400 points painted this month!

A secondary goal (that doesn’t really count for anything) was to finish building and painting all of the bases for the whole army for BCB (Austin’s too), and I nailed it. Austin and I met up and collaborated on building the bases. We wanted to make sure our models would fit appropriately and have good dynamism when on the bases. After that, I was able to knock out the painting pretty quickly.

So muscley. Much buff. Very leg day.

Score

2 points – Completing 100% of my painting goal

1 point – Adding two units to the army. (we have a cap on points so we don’t just paint 7 individuals and call it a day. It’s a good thing)

I ended up changing my mind on the unit I’d like to paint, but I still knocked it all out.

Total Score: 3

Goal

For March, I have the final piece for my BCB army: The Archfiend of the Abyss! I’m so excited to paint this model, so I dedicated a whole month to getting her done. I’m also going on vacation for spring break, so I didn’t want to bite off more than I could chew.

Tune in next month for another update!
