Iron Maidens of Ironhelm Keep

Hello everyone, I have a piece of background fiction, written by Chuck Williams for his dwarf army, the Iron Maidens of Ironhelm Keep, enjoy!

After the death of their Lord Balor Ironhelm III, and the warriors of Ironhelm Keep, the dwarven ladies carved the names of the elves involved in the Battle of Black Pass onto the keep’s Wall of Vengeance. The maids did not go berserk with the red curse, although many of the survivors of the battle did. The clan gathered the dead, performed rune rites over great funeral fires, had great drunken pipe smoke-filled wakes, and constructed stone statues to honor the fallen.

Not long after those long sullen days, the clan’s survivors began to talk of new enemies, this did not sit well in the halls of the keep, for the pointy-eared bastards are still alive. Instead, the maidens shaved their beards in shame. They picked up their tools of war, cursed the weak male folk, and made a pact between themselves to pursue all elves involved in the battle.

After several years, the Iron Maidens of Ironhelm Keep hunted and brought vengeance on many elves. Yet to this day, they still hunt Nualador. They have long forgotten the keep and now live in a continuous state of war-making. Their ranks are renowned throughout Mantica. This has driven many young female dwarves to their ranks. With their fury unquenched, whether it be for revenge or glory. It makes no difference to these dwarves.

So be careful, for, across the field, you may face the Iron Maidens.
