Look, this global pandemic is a big deal, and as many of us stare at another potentially lengthy stretch of lockdown, we here at -/28 wanted to do something to brighten up the Kings of War community. Coming up the weekend of August 8th & 9th, we are proud to present our first exhibition match in the International Club Challenge.
We’ve gathered two top clubs to battle it out on Universal Battle over four games in a single weekend, all to be streamed live by the usual band of scum and villainy from -/28 for the community’s pleasure. In this inaugural match we’ve searched high and low to bring you two of the more famous (at least infamous) Kings of War clubs that we thought would agree to this nonsense. This matchup should have it all. Texas vs. Yorkshire. New rules committee members. Fish finger sandwiches. And if we’re really lucky, Tom Robinson maybe even showing emotion.
The players:
Northern Kings: Elliot “The Face” Morrish, Adam “Nobody’s Princess” Padley, Tom “I Have a Sword” Robinson, Jonathon “Not Nick Williams” Quayle
Tabletop Titans: Patrick “I used to be Master” Zoro Allen, Marc “Who” Taylor, Jeremy “Power Gamer” Duvall, Dan “Darklord” King. With special coach Todd “Banhammer” Serpico.
Format:
- 4 Player Teams
- 4 Games Total
- Whoever wins the most games wins the event (Tourney Points as tiebreaker)
- 2300 points
- Matchups and scenarios (from a short list) chosen by team captains during matchup cast without knowing opponents list
